CyberFAQ : What should I do if someone created deepfake nudes of me and I'm not 18?
👋 Hello Substack. I’m launching a new series called CyberFAQ, where I’ll answer real questions submitted through the 911Cyber reporting tool and our social media channels, twice a week.
If someone created deepfake nudes of you and you're under 18, it's considered a form of child sexual abuse material (CSAM), even if the images are fake. This is illegal and a serious violation of your rights.
Here’s what you should do immediately:
🚫 Don’t interact with the person or share the content, even to prove it’s fake.
📱 Report the images on every platform where they appear (Instagram, TikTok, etc.) under “non-consensual” or “sexual exploitation.”
🧑🤝🧑 Tell a trusted adult—a parent, guardian, teacher, or school counselor. You don’t have to face this alone.
🛡️ Report to NCMEC via CyberTipline.org. They help minors in these situations.
👮 Contact local police or a cybercrime unit if you’re being harassed, blackmailed, or threatened.
💡 This is not your fault. You have the right to be safe, and there are tools and people who can help.
